According to a recent report in the authoritative Italian media outlet L'Osservatore Romano, with the Polish

With striker Dovbik close to a move to Roma, La Liga powerhouse Girona quickly targeted reinforcements in the form of Lazio's star striker Castellanos. The Argentine striker has performed well in the club's warm-up matches, scoring five goals and showing excellent competitive form, and is regarded as an important pillar in Lazio's center forward position in the new season.

However, Castellanos' excellent performance has also attracted the attention of other teams, and Girona is one of them. In order to fill the vacancy left after the departure of Dovbik, Girona to Lazio made two offers, respectively, 12 million euros and 15 million euros plus floating bonuses, but unfortunately, these two offers were rejected by Lazio. It is reported that even if Girona will offer to increase to 20 million euros, Lazio may still insist on not releasing, because they have full confidence in the prospects of Castellanos.

Lazio are not sitting still in the face of Girona's onslaught. In order to avoid being caught off guard by a Castellanos transfer, they have begun evaluating potential replacements. That list includes Panathinaikos' Ioannidis, as well as Nikola Krstovic, Dia and Simeone Junior, who excelled in Serie A last season. Highly touted Italian striker Pinamonti, on the other hand, does not appear on this list, showing Lazio's prudence in finding a replacement.
