According to a new report from As, the loan deal for midfielder Haldane between Sevilla FC and Scottish rivals Rangers is currently at an impasse. The two sides had agreed on a loan + option to buy offer, but the distribution of the player's personal treatment has become a stumbling block to further progress.
It is reported that Holden has a clear attitude towards his salary package and is adamant that he is not willing to make any compromises on his salary, even if it is the smallest of sacrifices. However, Sevilla are not willing to continue to bear the entirety of Holden's salary, while Rangers are only willing to bear 40% of his salary expenses. This huge difference has brought the two sides to an impasse at the negotiating table and the prospects of a deal have become uncertain as a result.
Joan Holden Moreno, a player born on July 6, 1994 in Regensos, Girona, has an extensive career resume. He has trained and played for a number of Spanish clubs, including Parafruhl, Athletic Bisbarentz, Girones Sabbath, Poblenz and Espanyol. During his time at Espanyol, he also worked out on loan at Valladolid. In 2017, Haldane left Espanyol to join Hvar, where he spent two seasons. He then moved to Sevilla in the summer of 2019 for a fee of €14 million and became a key part of the team's midfield.
A versatile midfielder, Holden is not only capable of playing in the heart of the midfield, but has also contributed to the team as a forward, right winger, left-right winger, and at the back, among other positions. However, in the 23/24 season, despite making 13 appearances, he failed to score for Sevilla on the attacking end, only dishing out one assist.
