Hoping to sign a defender this summer after manager Inzaghi Jr. wanted to sign Swiss international Rolo, the player is currently a free agent and willing to sign a one-year deal with Inter. However, Inter owners Oak Foundation prefer to bring in young players with potential, and their current favorite is 19-year-old Nantes defender Zezé.
Zezé sees Inter as his preferred destination and has already rejected a number of offers from the Premier League. Inter have gained extra funds by selling players, they have reached an agreement with Brest for the transfer of Satriano for a fee of €6 million plus bonuses, and are now just waiting for the player to give his nod to the deal. Inter have also agreed a deal with Sevilla for the transfer of Agumé for a fee of €5 million, with Inter retaining a 50% share of the player's future transfers. These two deals raised the money Inter needed to bring in Zezé.
La Gazzetta dello Sport also revealed that Inter want to offset part of Zese's transfer fee with players and have offered two goalkeepers, Stankovic and Radu, for Nantes to choose from. Nantes need to bring in a goalkeeper this summer and are interested in both goalkeepers, which provides more flexibility in the negotiations between the two sides.
