Shenzhen Xinpengcheng

The soccer club recently completed a major restructuring of its technical team with the appointment of German Stenz as sporting director and the introduction of two new assistant coaches, with the team expected to gain a foothold in the Chinese Super League.

On the afternoon of the 30th, Shenzhen Xinpengcheng announced the appointment of Stenz as the club's Sporting Director. Stenz has held positions with Cologne, Union Berlin, Vancouver White Wave, Hungarian Football Association clubs and organizations, and will serve as Technical Director of Shandong Taishan FC from 2017-2021. Stenz said, "I can't wait to get to work and contribute to the club's realization of its long-term competitive goals and future development. This is a young and dynamic club and I look forward to working together with everyone to build a team that Shenzhen can be proud of and to develop more outstanding reserves."

It is understood that Stenz was arranged by the headquarters of City Group to take up the post in New Pensio, responsible for the overall management of the entire competitive training, including the first team and youth training. Stenz has to work closely with head coach Tato as well as docking at the headquarters to report on the business situation, a management model that follows the exact pattern of City Group's global soccer layout.

Additionally, the new Roc has completed a restructuring of its first team coaching staff. Nardi serves as an assistant coach, while Boreas serves as the Director of Sports Performance and Health, and also as a fitness coach. Nardi, who holds dual Argentine and Italian citizenship, has served as head coach of Uruguay's Montevideo City Torque FC, a member of the City Soccer Group, and has coached national youth teams in Argentina, Mexico and Qatar. A Spaniard with a doctorate in sports science, Borres has worked on the coaching staffs of national teams at all levels under the Spanish Football Federation, and has been a fitness coach and sports performance specialist in Spain, Mexico, Chile, Qatar, and at Brazilian club Bahia, a member of the CITY FOOTBALL GROUP.

Shenzhen Xinpengcheng's adjustments have been reflected in their results, as they struggled to win in the opening rounds, but managed to win twice in a row after the first break, and then managed to escape the relegation zone after the second break. With some clubs facing difficulties, Shenzhen Xinpengcheng, as the only foreign-funded club in the Chinese Super League, has shown good momentum and is expected to stand firm in the Chinese Super League.
