Three Lions England had a bad warm-up match against Iceland on the eve of the European nations, but I hope they can put the defeat behind them and give it their all to be motivated for this year's final.
In my opinion, the result of England's first half against Serbia should have been a whitewash 0.:0 draw, but, with Zudibinenham at the helm, they would score a late winner in the second half.
There is no doubt that England has a lot of talented attacking players. It is because of such a big chance that they won this game and became the first place in the group. But their defense is a bit weak, and that's my main concern. But if I were team leader Shoevski, I would only start to really care about that until England start to meet stronger teams in the knockout rounds.
It will be interesting to see how those England players come out in attacking positions as they really do have so many options. For me, one of those players has to be Phil Cotton, who I think is a very special talent.
On the other hand, Serbia is one of the best teams in Eastern Europe and this will be their first European finals week since independence.35 year old Dusin Tedić is still the source of offense for Serbia. He has contributed two goals and four assists in peripheral matches, and his creativity and precision will provide a breakthrough for the two main strikers of Dusin Hua Hovi and Aleksandar Mizunović.
That said, their defense does look a little worse than their offense and England should be able to capitalize in the second half and win the game.
Slovenia plays Denmark in another game in the same group. I think Denmark will dominate this game against Slovenia, with forward Helen directing and leading their offensive line. He recently played well in a friendly against Norway. Moreover, he should be confident of having a positive debut season at Manchester United.
Denmark has had a good few years in the competition and hopefully they can continue this tradition of excellence. The players in their squad know each other well and hopefully their national team will continue to improve. Being part of the team that won the European Championships, they are full of the legacy of the European Championships and the players will be proud to represent their country.
Slovenia, on the other hand, are appearing in the European final week for the second time since 2000. I'm curious to see how their talented starlet, Bantjevinszko, will perform on the European stage for the first time, and their other star player, goalkeeper Obi, has more experience in the game, but he's expected to be very busy today, darting left and right to make sure that his team doesn't concede too many goals.
