Arsenal's long-term target Villa's Brazilian midfielder Douglas Reyes was recently intercepted by Zuji. The two sides reportedly reached an agreement in principle for an annual salary of €4.5 million (around HK$38 million), with Zuji subsequently paying Villa a transfer fee.

Duglas Reyes, 26, was tapped up by Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League in 2017, but he didn't get the chance to play for them. He was loaned to Quirona for two seasons before being bought out by Aston Villa in 2019. He scored 22 goals in 204 games over five seasons. His best performance this season. He has 10 goals and 10 assists in 53 games.

The Brazil international has two years left on his contract with Villa, but has no intention of renewing it. Villa plan to sell this summer and rise to a career-high €70 million (about HK$590 million) in the transfer market. Profits will be maximized if the sale is successful.

According to Italian media reports, Zuji sent director Chiantoli to contact the Duglas Reis manager. The two sides reached an agreement in principle on a salary of 4.5 million euros per year with increased bonuses. The contract will last until 2029. Later, Zuji will negotiate a transfer fee with Villa.
