16-year-old talented midfielder

Mastantono

is at the forefront of the deal. However, Mastantono's team of players are in no hurry to let him leave River Plate.

Mastantono will turn 17 on August 14 and is currently in River Plate's starting lineup. He specializes in left-footed, fast and technically outstanding, is an attacking midfielder, and is good at long-distance shooting. In the summer transfer window this year, Mastantono attracted the attention of many European giants, including Real Madrid.

Despite Real Madrid leading the competition, River Plate want to keep the young talent for as long as possible. Meanwhile, Mastantono's team believes he has more chances with River Plate in Argentina, having just become a regular starter and needing more experience in the game.

Real Madrid have a number of players in their squad who overlap with Mastantono's position, such as Bellingham, Güelles, Rodrigo and Vinicius. Even if Mastantono joins Real Madrid, it is less likely that he will get a chance to play for the first team in the short term, and staying at River Plate will be more conducive to his growth.

Mastantono's release from his contract with River Plate is €45 million, an amount that will rise to €50 million a few days before the end of the transfer window. Mastantono holds an Italian passport, which allows Real Madrid to sign him before he turns 18, and then follow the model of the Endrick deal, which allows the player to remain with his parent team for a year after signing.
