Youngster Gordon spoke to the club's officials during Liverpool's pre-season campaign, sharing his journey back from a long-term injury, what he is looking forward to in the new season and how he feels about his new coaching team.

Returning to green after injury

Speaking about recovering from injury and returning to action, Gordon couldn't hide his excitement, "It feels great and it's an unparalleled joy to be able to wear the Liverpool shirt again and play alongside my teammates. A new coaching team brings a new experience, but to be able to travel with my teammates and be involved in pre-season, I'm really enjoying the time." He admitted that it was his first full preseason in two years and was very pleased to have rediscovered the rhythm of the game and said he missed every moment of it.

Injury challenges, resilience

Looking back on the tough times during his injury, Gordon showed maturity and toughness beyond his years: "It was a very tough time, and injuries are always full of uncertainty. Sometimes you think you're on the verge of a comeback and then you're told it's going to take longer to recover. But it was these challenges that taught me perseverance and patience. It's hard to describe the feeling I get when I see the end of the tunnel and know I'm about to return. Now, I just want to stay in shape and keep contributing to the team."

Back in form and eager to play

Gordon is confident about his physical condition: "I feel stronger than ever. During the recovery period, it was hard to see my teammates training on the court while I could only watch from the sidelines. But when I stepped back on the field, the desire and love for the game came over me immediately. I'm eager to play, and wherever I can get playing time, I'm going to give it my all. This season, I hope to play a few more games, get back into the rhythm of the game as soon as possible and get back to my best."

New Coach, New Start

Gordon spoke highly of the new coaching team: "Compared to the previous coach, the new coaching team has brought in a whole new tactical philosophy and training methods. It's all a matter of getting used to it, but I'm enjoying the process. Coach Hettinga has given me a lot of valuable advice on shooting and positional choices, which has benefited me a lot. Although everything is different, I am enjoying the changes and challenges and look forward to creating more brilliance with the team in the new season."
