Recently, Casapia FC's newest addition, Ruben Kluivert, was interviewed by the media, sharing his feelings about joining the team, his plans for the future, and his thoughts on family and soccer.

Speaking about why he chose to play the position of central defender, Kluivert humorously said that it was due to his experience as a child when he was often driven to defend by his two older brothers. "They always liked to control the ball themselves and drove me to defense," he laughed, "and that's probably why I played fullback. I really made great strides on defense because of the constant defense." This home soccer environment has not only developed his defensive skills, but also his understanding and love of soccer.

For Casapia, Kluivert spoke highly of the team. He said that before joining the team, he did an in-depth study of the head coach, technical department and scouting team, and thought it was a very good working team. He appreciated the composition of the team, both experienced veterans and young players with outstanding potential, and this diversified lineup gives him confidence in the team's future.

Speaking about Casapia's plans for him, Kluivert said he is looking forward to it. "I hope to become a better player here," he said, "Lisbon is a great city and I'm sure I'll grow living and playing here."

As the son of Patrick Kluivert, Ruben is used to the media spotlight from a young age. He admits that the high expectations are normal for him and all he needs to do is to play the game in his own way and not let the pressure get to him.

As to whether playing as a defender means he hasn't inherited his father's killer instinct, Kluivert answered in the negative. "I can score goals too!" He laughed, "Defense is just part of what I'm good at, but it doesn't mean I've lost my ability to attack."

Speaking about his father's advice to him, Kluivert revealed that even though his father didn't know much about Casa Pia, he strongly recommended him to join after seeing the team's performance last season. This recognition and support from his father has undoubtedly strengthened Kluivert's resolve to develop in Casa Pia.

Looking ahead, Kluivert said he has signed a three-year deal with Casapia and plans to stay in Portugal for the long term. "I'm gaining experience every day," he said, "and I hope I can stay healthy and play as many games as possible to contribute to the team."

Finally, when asked if he thinks he can make the Dutch national team like his father and brother, Kluivert showed humility and pragmatism. "Of course I want to make the Dutch national team," he said, "but I think it's better not to look too far ahead now. I'll keep my feet on the ground and take it one game at a time."
