According to Sky Sports.
Manchester United Football Club
Suffered frequent injuries last season, becoming one of the worst teams in the Premier League in terms of injuries.
The statistics show:
United suffered a total of 45 injuries last season, the most of any team in the Premier League. Players missed a total of 1,620 days and 202 games, both of which ranked 6th in the Premier League.
Manchester United are still unable to shake off their injury woes during the pre-season preparations for the new season. Jolo and Hoylum were injured against Arsenal, while Rashford and Anthony were injured against Betis. These injuries are yet another reminder that United need to be more careful in managing their players' health and match load in the new season.
Last season, a number of Manchester United's key players missed out due to injuries, including captain Harry Maguire, central midfielder Bruno Fernandes and winger Marcus Rashford. These injuries not only affected the integrity of the squad, but also adversely affected the team's overall performance.
In order to deal with the frequent injury problems, United will need to make adjustments in the following areas:
Strengthening physical training and rehabilitation management
: Reduce the risk of player injuries through scientific fitness training and rehabilitation management.
Rationalize match rotation
: Rationalize the timing of players' matches to avoid injuries caused by over-exertion in the context of a crowded schedule.
Upgrading the medical team
: Bring in more excellent medical and rehabilitation specialists to provide players with more specialized medical care.
Manchester United will need to make more detailed planning and arrangements for injury management in the new season to ensure that the team is able to meet the challenges of various tournaments with the strongest squad.
