As a sign of good faith, Dortmund are prepared to significantly increase Schlotterbeck's salary, moving him into the team's top tier. Schlotterbeck, 24, has a current contract with Dortmund that expires in 2027. Last season, he made 48 appearances for Dortmund, including 45 starts, contributing two goals and three assists.
