Following the confirmation of Arsenal midfielder Smith Rowe joining Fulham Football Club, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his deep respect and reluctance to part with the young player in an interview.

Arteta first spoke highly of Smith Rowe's performance and contribution at Arsenal, praising, "Smith Rowe's loyalty, attitude and energy are all first class. Whenever the team faces a difficult situation, he is always able to step up and prove his worth with practical actions. Since joining the first team, he has impressed us by playing a vital role in our most difficult moments. His strong performances have not only boosted the confidence of his teammates but also made our fans proud."

However, Arteta also looked quite helpless and sad about Smith-Rowe's departure. He confessed, "I am sad that Smith-Rowe is leaving us because he is a very good player and an important part of our team. However, I am also happy for him because he has chosen to take on new challenges and opportunities at this stage of his career, which is a necessary step in his growth path. I am confident that he will continue to shine in his new environment and realize his soccer dreams."

When talking about Smith-Rowe's future, Arteta even expressed his deep blessings and expectations. He said, "Smith-Rowe is loved and respected by everyone at the club. He has left many good memories and valuable experience here. Now he leaves us with our gratitude, absolute respect and best wishes. We wish him all the best at Fulham and continue to show his talent and strength. In the meantime, we wish him and his family all the best for the future."
