J-League

The J-League currently has 18 teams, Kawasaki Frontale, Yokohama Marinos, FC Tokyo, Urawa Red Diamonds, FC Yokohama, Nagoya Whale, Kyoto Immortals, Kashima Antlers, Osaka Cherry Blossoms, Niigata Tenkan Go, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Sapporo Gonzaga, Kobe Victory, Fukuoka Wasps, Kashiwa Reysol, Flying Foal of Osaka, Tosu Sasayama, and Shonan Bima.
However, it has been previously announced by J-League officials that the J-League will expand to 20 teams starting in the 2024 season.
