The relay final was staged and the Chinese team broke the Asian record with a time of 3:37.55, successfully lifting the

silver medal

. The U.S., meanwhile, took gold with a world record-breaking 3:37.43, while Australia broke the Oceania record with 3:38.76 to take bronze.

In the preliminaries, the Chinese team sent Xu Jiayu, Tang Qianting, Zhang Yufei and Pan Zhanle to fight, and finally advanced to the final with a time of 3 minutes 42 seconds 26 seconds in third place. The United States and Australia, on the other hand, occupied the top two places in the preliminaries.

In the final, the Chinese team adjusted their lineup to a four-player relay of Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, Zhang Yufei and Yang Junxuan. Xu Jiayu, as the first baton, led for a while at 50 meters, but then was overtaken by the United States, and Xu Jiayu finished the handover in second place. Qin Haiyang fought fiercely with the U.S. team in the second baton, and finally finished the final sprint to overtake, finishing the baton handover in the first place.

Zhang Yufei was dueling with Walsh of USA in the third butterfly stroke. Although she was behind for a while, Zhang Yufei fought hard to catch up, and finally China finished the handover in the second place with a slight disadvantage. In the last stroke, Yang Junxuan and Husker of the U.S. team started a sprint duel, and the Chinese team kept the second position, and finally won the silver medal with a difference of 0.12 seconds.
