The relay final was staged and the Chinese team broke the Asian record with a time of 3:37.55, successfully lifting the
silver medal
. The U.S., meanwhile, took gold with a world record-breaking 3:37.43, while Australia broke the Oceania record with 3:38.76 to take bronze.

In the preliminaries, the Chinese team sent Xu Jiayu, Tang Qianting, Zhang Yufei and Pan Zhanle to fight, and finally advanced to the final with a time of 3 minutes 42 seconds 26 seconds in third place. The United States and Australia, on the other hand, occupied the top two places in the preliminaries.
In the final, the Chinese team adjusted their lineup to a four-player relay of Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, Zhang Yufei and Yang Junxuan. Xu Jiayu, as the first baton, led for a while at 50 meters, but then was overtaken by the United States, and Xu Jiayu finished the handover in second place.
