The Opportunity. Both Parma and Cagliari are currently showing a keen interest in the 24-year-old Italian midfielder.
Caviglia made his debut in last season's Coppa Italia final and helped Juve win the title. However, due to fierce competition in Juve's midfield, the club is looking to sell Caviglia for €7 million. As a Juve youth player, Caviglia's entire transfer fee will count towards the club's capital gains.
Although Venice have reached an agreement with Juve for Caviglia's transfer, the player himself has rejected the offer and is seriously evaluating other options. Currently, both Parma and Cagliari have shown interest in him. Parma boss Pecchia admires Caviglia and believes that his characteristics fit the team's tactical needs perfectly. Cagliari, on the other hand, see Caviglia as a Plan B for midfield reinforcements, with their preferred target being Napoli's Gaetano.
Meanwhile, another deal between Venice and Juve has not been affected by the failed transfer of Caviglia. Venice are set to take Juve wing-back Barbieri on loan with a right of first refusal. The 2002-born player has already reached an agreement with Venice, who are confident of completing the deal.
La Gazzetta dello Sport also reports on some other Juve players who will leave the club this summer. Rugani is close to a loan move to Ajax, Desilio is a target for Monza and his agent is contacting some foreign clubs. Facundo Gonzalez has received offers from Udinese as well as from Spanish and French teams, but Juve don't want to lose ownership of the player. Artur is in talks with Premier League sides such as Everton and Leicester City for a possible return to the Premier League. Young wing-back Vrabotta is close to joining QPR, Brescia are interested in Olivieri, while Palermo have shown interest in Hassa and Sekulov.
