This week is undoubtedly a crucial time for Spanish international Olmo and FC Barcelona to decide the way forward. According to Mundo Deportivo, Olmo departed for Germany on Monday to take advantage of the tail end of his vacation while keeping a close eye on his transfer process. He was accompanied by his agent, Andy Balla, and the two had previously met in Zagreb to discuss the transfer further.

Olmo was scheduled to return to RB Leipzig's training ground on August 8, but has opted to remain in Germany pending a final decision on his future affiliation. This week is crucial for him as his representatives are actively pushing for talks between the Bundesliga club and Barcelona to facilitate a transfer.

For their part, Barcelona have made a second offer to Leipzig, which includes a fixed transfer fee of €47 million, as well as three easily agreed add-ons totaling up to €50 million. In addition, Barcelona will pay an extra €10 million as a bonus if they win La Liga or the Champions League within the next six years. The offer shows Barcelona's strong interest in Olmo and their willingness to pay a significant price for it.

However, the differences between the two parties centered on the payment deadline. In order to break this impasse, Barcelona put forward a payment plan close to 25 million euros in their second proposal and arranged to complete the payment in September. This move has undoubtedly injected new momentum into the negotiations, making it more likely that both sides will reach a consensus in the near future.

Leipzig respect Olmo's wish to leave the club, but also emphasize that they will not let go of the player, who is regarded as the core of the team, easily. They have asked Barcelona to pay a reasonable price to compensate for the loss that Olmo's departure might bring to the team. Therefore, in the next few days, Leipzig's executives will work on the transfer with a view to reaching a mutually acceptable agreement.

Olmo himself has expressed a strong desire to join Barcelona. He wants to realize his career goals through this transfer and show his talent on a higher stage. Therefore, he hopes to end this transfer tug-of-war as soon as possible so that he can devote himself to the new season.
