In a recent friendly match, Manchester United went down 0-3 to Liverpool, a result that not only disappointed fans but also left the team facing a wave of injuries. In the match, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof and Evans were replaced at different stages in the backline, while young substitute Fish was injured in the confrontation and could not continue the game. This series of changes undoubtedly posed a considerable challenge to United's preparation program.

In an interview with Manchester United Television (MUTV) after the match, United manager Jens Ten Hagar elaborated on his team's performance and injuries. He said, "We always need to look at what happened and learn from it. In terms of Fish's injury, our initial assessment is that he has suffered an impact injury and further medical tests will be required to determine the severity of the injury. Meanwhile, Evans was subbed off at half-time due to illness, for player protection reasons. Lindelof's departure, on the other hand, was more of a precautionary measure to avoid any further injuries he might suffer on the field."

Ten Hagar also revealed the reason for the absence of another defender, Maguire, from the game: 'Pre-season is always challenging and players need to get used to the high intensity of training and the pace of the game. This was also the case with Maguire and we decided to rest him to prevent possible injuries. This is to ensure that he will be at his best for the coming games."

Facing the team's current predicament, Ten Hag showed a calm and rational attitude. He emphasized: "Of course, we have some injury problems, but this is part of club soccer. We have to accept this reality and try to find solutions. In the coming time, we will focus on the rehabilitation of our players, as well as strengthening the team's training and tactical drills to be fully prepared for the upcoming matches."
