According to a report from Inter Milan's team reporter Guaro, the failure to get the
Correa
and others left, Inter had to give up on bringing in the
Gudmundsson (name)
. The decision was a shame for both Inzaghi Jr. and the club.
Journalist Guaro writes: "Now Gudmundsson is on the verge of a transfer at a very favorable price. Inzaghi Jr. had two days before asked the
national rice
Asked for Gudmundsson to be brought in and that was the last time he asked. Gudmundsson waited 27 days for Inter, but Inter failed to find a home for Correa and treated Arnautovic in a gentle way."
Gudmundsson was originally considered to be an icing on the cake for Inter's forward line. However, with a number of strikers in the team, including Correa, failing to find new owners, Inter's striker position looks overcrowded, which prevents them from freeing up space and funds to complete the transfer of Gudmundsson.
Guaro added: "It would be a shame if Inter missed out on him because the team is crowded with unreliable players at striker."
Inter Milan's operations in the transfer market have encountered considerable challenges, especially in balancing between clearing out redundancies and bringing in new recruits. The introduction of Gudmundsson could have strengthened the team's offense, but due to the current personnel and financial situation, this plan was forced to be shelved.
