It's official, RB Leipzig have announced a one-year loan extension for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Javi Simons. The loan has no buyout clause and Simmons will continue to wear Leipzig's No. 10 jersey.

According to well-known journalist Romano, both Bayern Munich and Leipzig were interested in taking Simmons on loan, but in the end Simmons chose to remain at Leipzig and informed Bayern of his decision.

21-year-old Javi Simons was loaned out to Leipzig by Paris Saint-Germain last season and has made 43 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and dishing out a remarkable 15 assists. He is currently valued at €80 million in the German transfer market.

Simons also had an outstanding performance in the just-concluded Euro Cup, contributing 1 goal and 3 assists to help the Dutch team break into the quarterfinals. His loan extension will undoubtedly further enhance Leipzig's offensive firepower and provide important support for the team in the new season's journey.
