Chelsea midfield starlet Moises Caicedo, speaking about his journey from Brighton to Chelsea in a record £115million move, candidly shares the pressures and challenges he went through and how he found support in the face of adversity and gradually regained his confidence.

The 22-year-old Ecuador international said that when he first arrived at Chelsea, he felt unprecedented pressure in the face of a huge transfer fee and the club's long history. "It was tough for me at the beginning because you're at a big club with a big transfer fee and you just have to win every game." Caicedo recalls, "At Brighton there was less pressure, but at Chelsea it was completely different." He admits that this huge contrast had made him lose confidence for a while.

However, Chelsea's recently departed manager Mauricio Pochettino and his team gave him unwavering support during Caicedo's toughest moments. "They supported me when I didn't feel like the old Moises." Caicedo said, "They were always with me and helped me regain my confidence." In addition, he revealed that he turned to a performance coach who reviewed game footage with him after each game and gave him positive feedback and encouragement.

Over time, Caicedo adapted to the Chelsea environment and found his best form towards the end of the season. He scored a brilliant goal against Bournemouth, which was eventually named the Premier League Goal of the Season. This achievement is not only a testament to his individual ability, but also the best reward for his tireless efforts.

Speaking about the decision to move to Chelsea, Caicedo said it was a tough but the right choice. "Liverpool is a big team and so is Chelsea. But Chelsea were with me for months. I couldn't miss them." He recalled, "When Brighton didn't want me to leave, they were there for me at a difficult time. It was a tough decision, but I was 100 percent sure that I wanted to go to Chelsea."
