After Manchester United striker Anthony Martial left the team this summer, the Red Devils are now down to two strikers; Helen and Rashford. According to British newspaper The Mirror, United plans to sign shooters including Wolves striker Mathias Gencia.
Maffiosgen, 25, moved from Ma to Wolves last January and has managed to help Wolves protect their level of play with 14 goals and eight assists in 36 games. The Brazilian international is full of aggression and, coupled with a youthful game, fulfills the demands of new United shareholders Ratcliffe to sign only players under the age of 25.
Currently, Mafioso Gencia's weekly salary is only £60,000 (about HK$600,000). Manchester United are willing to double their labor to lure them on board. However, Wolves are demanding a transfer fee of £60 million (around HK$600 million), which has become a major obstacle to the deal.
Aside from Mafiosu Gensia, United are also eyeing tight Westham winger Gudas. The 23-year-old Ghanaian international worked with Red Devils coach Tannhäuser during his time with Ajax.
