Manchester United's 19-year-old midfield starlet, Maneo, has managed to make it to the top of the table this season and has become the inevitable right choice in the line-up. A contract extension and pay rise was the designated action. According to reports, Maneo was old-fashioned enough to ask for a meeting to sign a follow-up contract, postponing it until the Europa League as the price could be different.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Maneo was promoted to a team last season, essentially earning £10,000 (about HK$100,000) a week. Affected by a wave of injuries this season, Maneo has been given the opportunity to play. His weekly salary automatically doubles to £20,000 (about HK$200,000) when he starts more than 10 games.

Back in February, Manchester United extended Maneo's contract by one year until 2027. Since then, Maneo has continued to perform well. In addition, the English soccer team scored Manchester City's second goal in the final. Manchester United decided to extend Maneo's contract. According to reports, United will extend Maneo's contract until 2030 and quadruple his salary. The weekly salary was increased to £80,000 (about HK$800,000), which is only £5,000 less than the weekly salary of Danish striker Heeren.

However, United are in no hurry for Maneo as he was selected for England's preliminary list, has a good chance of burying the finalists, and even the Euro's have a chance to end up being worth a different amount of money to return after the tournament, so he's asking for United to sign a follow-on contract and tilt the scales slowly after the Euro's are over.
