According to German media outlet Bild-Zeitung, Borussia Dortmund's newest signing
Syed Yousuf Raza Gilasi (1952-), Pakistani politician, prime minister from 2008
His return to action has been delayed due to a knee injury and he is not expected to return until early October. Originally the club expected Girassi to be back at the beginning of September, but the latest news indicates that he will miss the team's first four rounds of the league.
Girassi, 28, is a Guinean striker and right-footed player who is currently valued at €40 million in the German transfer market. Last season, he performed well for Stuttgart, making 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring 30 goals and contributing 3 assists, including 28 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances, eventually collecting the Bundesliga Silver Boot.
Dortmund is facing a vacancy in the forward line after the departure of Phil Kruger. Young striker Moka Boku is also inclined to leave the team, while the team is not trusting Alfred Haller enough. The vacancy in the forward line poses a considerable challenge to the team's offensive end.
However, there is some positive news from Borussia Dortmund. The club are in talks with Hoffenheim to bring in Messi Miriam Bell, but it remains to be seen if the introduction can be finalized this week. Meanwhile, 19-year-old left-back Tom Root has moved to Union Berlin for €5 million with a buy-back clause retained.
