's €9 million offer, but the player himself rejected the transfer.

Reports suggest that the offer made by Strasbourg was accepted by Porto president Andre Villas-Boas, who then met with Borges to explain the club's current financial needs in the hope of generating revenue from a sale. However, Borges rejected the transfer opportunity.

Strasbourg offered Borges €1.5 million a year, but Borges' priority was not to increase his income. His dream has always been to succeed at Porto, become champions and get consistent appearances. Borges is aware of the club's current financial situation, but he believes that some of his other teammates have a higher market value and interest, so he has decided to stay at Porto to increase his value and get a better transfer deal in the future.

Borges, 23, comes from the Benfica youth academy and joined the Porto youth academy in 2015, where he has played since. He has already appeared in the Portuguese Super Cup and contributed one assist in the new season, while in all competitions last season he made 28 appearances and dished out three assists.

Borges' determination and loyalty has brought hope to Porto, and his perseverance not only shows his love for the club, but also adds confidence to the team's future development. Fans are looking forward to Borges' performance in the new season and hope he can help Porto achieve more honors.
