A new report from Sky Sports Germany's Plettenberg reveals the complexity of the negotiations between Brighton and Stuttgart over the transfer of Onduff. According to the report, Ondav himself strongly wants to move to Stuttgart, while Brighton FC, although annoyed by this, have also indicated that they are willing to make certain concessions in the negotiations in order to facilitate the smooth progress of the deal.
However, the differences between the two sides remain significant. Brighton are unhappy with Stuttgart's offer, saying that their bid of €27-30 million does not meet the team's expectations. At the same time, Brighton also asked Stuttgart to clarify the public statements of Ondaatje, because Ondaatje had previously said that he was disappointed with Brighton and wanted to stay in Stuttgart.
This stance has undoubtedly exacerbated Brighton's dissatisfaction and made the negotiations even more tricky. Despite Brighton's intention to show flexibility in the negotiations, Stuttgart's attitude seems to be quite firm and they don't seem to be willing to make concessions on their offer.
In addition, Stuttgart are also considering options in case they are unsuccessful in signing Onduff. This uncertainty makes it necessary for Brighton to assess the situation more carefully and consider further action to progress the deal.
