The "uncrowned king" Holland announced the preliminary list of 30 Euro players. All the flying stars are in the defense, while the midfield and the front field lacks the taste of the stars, which reflects that since the last Euro, Holland's green and yellow problem is still continuing, and meets the public's expectation of "all-around soccer" is still a long way to go.
For once, Holland's backline mids looked dreadful. The likes of Wahkil Yundjak, Nitun Aki, Mafis Dirichlet, Dufus and Yundyin are all independent and their defense is still top notch.
However, from the center of the field, only one Frankie Dijon was sitting there and the rest were not good enough for the class. Most of them came from the Dutch League or the four major leagues as reserves. For example, the front line heavy flyer remains Dippy Shooting Gap. The ability to score goals in this year's tournament is a concern.
Holland is included in Group D in Europe and its opponents include France, Austria and Poland. Since Chung has four of the best third-place finishers, I'm sure getting into the top 16 shouldn't be much of a problem.
The Netherlands have been the only international competition winners to win Euro 1988. At the time, the leading country was West Germany. This year's tournament was again hosted by Germany. However, it will be difficult to revisit the dream of winning the cup due to the current human footing of the Netherlands.
