Hou Zhihui opened the snatch competition with a weight of 89 kilograms and successfully lifted it after two attempts. However, she raised the weight to 93 kilograms on the third attempt, but failed to lift it successfully. As a result, Hou Zhihui's final score in the snatch was set at 89 kilograms, temporarily placing her in second place among all competitors behind Romania's Mihaela Camberi's 93 kilograms.
The competition is still in progress and Hou Zhihui will continue to compete for the gold medal in the subsequent clean and jerk competition. Fans are expecting her to play well in the upcoming competitions and add another Olympic gold medal to the Chinese delegation.
