A new report from Portuguese newspaper El Globo reveals Benfica striker Artur Cabral's current career dilemma and options. Although the Brazilian striker joined Benfica with great ambitions, his performance last season did not meet the expectations of the team and fans, contributing only 11 goals and 2 assists in 43 appearances. With the addition of new striker Pavlidis, Cabral's playing position in the team has been further squeezed.

Faced with this situation, Cabral began to think about his future, but he was in no hurry to make a decision. Despite Premier League side Brentford

and local Brazilian clubs have all expressed interest in him, but no concrete offers or substantial progress has been made so far. Brentford

had viewed Cabral as a potential replacement for Ivan Toni and had initial conversations with Benfica during a pre-season friendly about a loan-enhanced buyout deal, but nothing has happened since.

Meanwhile, Cabral's agent, Pitombera, has been actively pursuing other solutions, including offers from overseas leagues such as Saudi Arabia, but again failed to achieve a breakthrough. Benfica, for their part, would like to recoup at least the €20 million transfer fee they paid a year ago, but the reality of the situation has forced them to consider more realistic offers, and they are reportedly willing to accept a bid of between €15 million and €16 million, or opt to loan Cabral out with a view to adding value in the future.

It will be especially crucial for Cabral to make the best decision for his career in the upcoming period. He needs to find a balance between being patient and actively looking for new opportunities, as well as constantly improving his game to attract more attention from potential buyers. After all, as a striker in his prime, Cabral still has a chance to write a new chapter in the soccer world.
