Real Madrid spent a lot of money signing Chassat in the summer of 2019 and he has not lived up to expectations. This has clearly eroded the business. It is estimated that Chassat has hung up his boots, but Real Madrid's tailspin is not yet complete. Recently, Chung asked for a small amount of money Chelsea, needing £5 million (about HK$49 million). What is the cost?

Chassat moved from Chelsea to Real Madrid for a total transfer fee of £130m, with Real Madrid paying £88m in the first instalment and the remainder of around £42m on a floating clause, one of the £5m clauses triggered by Real's recent re-entry into the Europa League final.

Although Chassat terminated his deal with Real Madrid last summer, with the Belgian international announcing the end of their career last October, the Real Madrid contract is still in force to date, with the terms of the contract leaving a tailspin, so naturally there is a lot of water in the tank for Real Madrid as they make it to the Europa League final once again, triggering the terms of the contract.
