Inter Milan young goalkeeper Filip Stankovic is on the verge of joining promoted Serie A side, according to transfer expert Di Marzio

. The transfer deal is close to being finalized after lengthy negotiations. Stankovic has agreed to join Venice and the deal is expected to be formalized soon.
Filip Stankovic, 22 years old, is the son of Inter star Dejan Stankovic and comes from the Inter Milan youth training system. Last season, he was loaned to Serie B team Sampdoria and had an outstanding performance, making a total of 38 appearances, of which 8 matches were shutouts, showing excellent goal-line skills.
Although Ligue 1 side Nantes also showed strong interest in Stankovic, he ultimately chose to remain in Italian soccer and join Venice. Venice, as a newly promoted Serie A side, hope to further strengthen their defense with this reinforcement.
