. The match had ups and downs, and in the end, defending champion Miami International advanced to the Round of 16 with a 4-3 victory.

Miami International took the lead shortly after the game started through a Rojas blitz. However, Toronto FC did not give up as Weygandt gave away a penalty and Insigne hit it to help Toronto get back in the game. Midway through the match, Bernardeschi left the game with an injury, dealing a blow to Toronto FC's offense. Miami International extended their lead at the end of the first half when Suarez took an assist from his teammate Alba and fired a shot into the goal, making the score 3-1. The game entered the white-hot stage, with Alba's assist on the hat, but then Martinez was sent off with a direct red card, leaving Miami International with ten men to play with. Toronto FC seized the opportunity, Alba again sent a penalty, Insigne point shot to complete the second goal, the score at halftime was 3-2.

In the second half, Miami International showed great resilience as Alba delivered another assist and Rojas made it 4-2 with a long range world shot.Towards the end of the game, Toronto FC's Owusu created an Allen oopsie to cut the lead to 4-3.Redondo Jr.'s shot hit the post and came close to helping Toronto equalize.

In the end, despite a number of twists and turns in the match, including Martinez's red card departure, Miami International persevered to a 4-3 win over Toronto FC to advance to the Round of 16 of the Confederations Cup.
