Manchester United are set for a massive clean out this summer. Reportedly, all players are available for sale except for Helen, Alejandro, Canazo and Maneo. However, Tom Heaton, the number 3 keeper, has never played this season. He reportedly has a chance to stay with the team and join the United coaching staff after a summer booking.
Since joining in 2021, 38-year-old Townshendon has never played in the Premier League. His contract with the same club ended this summer. However, according to the Manchester Evening News, United appreciate Townshend's influence in the dressing room and intend to invite him to join the coaching staff.
Tom Heaton won Luton's favor last year but decided to stay at United when he said:- "I used to want to play as a No.2 goalkeeper but I knew the situation of the club so there were no good complaints. In my opinion their mission is not finished and everyone has had a lot of positive things to say about me."
