Chelsea's official website announced on Monday (29) that 39-year-old Brazilian centerpieces Tiago Schwarz left the team at the end of the season, ending his four-year career with the Blues. During his stint, he won the Europa League and UEFA Super League for Chelsea.

In August 2020, Tiago Schwarz switched from Paris Saint-Germain to LUFC and started 151 games in four seasons, scoring 9 goals and 3 assists. In a single department he scored four goals this season, winning the UEFA Champions League for his team. He has been with the team through the turbulence of the past two seasons and is considered the team's spiritual leader.

The Brazilian stalwart admitted that he was almost 36 when he joined Chelsea that day and hadn't played for the team for a long time: "At first I only played for one year, but it turned out to be four years, and my family and I became part of the team. I've been giving it my all and it's not a decisive end, I hope to play another role again in the near future."

It was announced at the meeting that Tiago Schwarz has left the team and may never get another chance to take to the field to say goodbye to the fans. The London Evening Standard reports that if he is out of the firing line with an injury during the game, he will be examined for a groin injury. If he determines he's injured, he'll stop early and never get another chance to say goodbye to the show.
