Munich's Dutch defender Derek De Rijter, a player that manager Ten Hahn admires. However, the two sides have yet to agree on a transfer fee, becoming the main obstacle to the deal.

According to reports, United are currently only willing to pay £30 million for Drieght, while Bayern's asking price is £42 million. This gap has led to a stalemate in the negotiations between the two sides, with no substantial progress having been made.

Meanwhile, Bayern have been on the lookout for a replacement for Drieht as they have shown interest in Leverkusen defender Jonatan Tah. However, a new report from German journalist Georg Holzner suggests that Bayern will not push ahead with a move for Tower, meaning that Bayern's focus remains on retaining Drieht or will only consider releasing him if they get a satisfactory offer.

The news that Bayern are not pursuing Tah may be seen as good news for United, but for the signing of Drieht to be successful, United will also need to agree with Bayern on a transfer fee.
