As the Community Shield final between Manchester United and Manchester City approaches at 22:00 BST on Saturday night, Manchester United's squad is gradually emerging. According to a new report from the Manchester Evening News, the involvement of some of United's players in their preparations for the heavyweight clash has raised concerns among fans.

Manchester United's backline is reportedly set to be tweaked. Swedish center back Lindelof, England winger Wan Bissaka and England left back Luke Shaw did not travel with the team to London by train, meaning they could miss the game due to injury, fatigue or other reasons. However, the good news is that Maguire, who previously missed last weekend's game against Liverpool due to precautionary measures, has traveled with the team to London and is expected to suit up against Manchester City.

In addition, Lisandro Martinez and Dalot have returned to the squad and joined the preparations straight after their respective international commitments. The return of these two players certainly adds more options and stability to United's backline.

The Manchester Evening News also disclosed the United's big list for the match, which includes a number of strong players. In the goalkeeper position, Onana, Baindil and Heaton will compete for the post; in the back line, in addition to the previously mentioned players, Evans and Armas will also be an important alternative; in the midfield, Casemiro, Mount, Collier, McTominay and Maino will join hands to fight; in the striker line, B Faye, Rashford, Amade Diarlo, Anthony, Gana Qiao, Sangcho, Pelisteri and Zirkser will form the attacking group for the team.
