According to renowned journalist Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, English Premier League powerhouse Brighton FC is going all out to try to sign left back Mehmet Kadioglu of Turkish side Fenerbahce. The 24-year-old young defender showed excellent strength last season, playing 51 games for Fenerbahce, not only solidifying the team's defense, but also contributing three goals and four assists, with outstanding performance in both offense and defense. In addition, Cardioglu also had an impressive performance for the Turkish national team at the UEFA Europa League this summer, further raising his profile in European soccer.

Brighton's new manager Hülzeler has shown great interest in Kadioglu, seeing him as an important piece of the puzzle to strengthen the team's defense. According to Plettenberg, Kadioglu is not only Brighton's number one target, but the player himself is also positive about joining Brighton, and both sides are confident of completing the transfer. Currently, the negotiation between Brighton and Fenerbahce is in progress, and the two sides will have in-depth discussions on the transfer fee, contract details and other issues.

Fenerbahce have valued Kadiolu at a whopping €35 million, showing their high regard for the young defender. Brighton, on the other hand, have negotiated a contract with the player until 2026 to ensure that Cardiolu can play for the team in the long run. This deal, if successfully completed, will undoubtedly inject new vitality into Brighton's defense and enhance the team's overall competitiveness.
