Manchester City midfielder Phil Cotton has been getting into the World Wide Web frequently this season, including a stunning first-ever UEFA Europa League 8 tie with Real Madrid that roared into the net. According to OPTA, the 23-year-old England international has scored nearly five times in the Europa League to equal Sherratt's record. In other words, with City hosting Real Madrid in the second round, Phil Cotton can become the longest official player in Europa League history, provided he is opting into Poland.

Phil Cotton has not been the right choice for every game in the UEFA this year.
