, on a one-year lease. The transfer process for the young defender was stalled for a while due to the complexity of the administrative procedures, but eventually the deal was successfully finalized thanks to the joint efforts of both parties.
Pellegrino moved to AC Milan from Argentina's Atletico Platense for a transfer fee of €3.5 million last summer. However, his appearances at Milan were limited, with only one first-team appearance. In February this year, in order to gain more match experience, Pellegrino was loaned to Serie A side Salernitana, during which he made 10 appearances and performed moderately well.
