Paris Olympics

The table tennis women's team final came to an end, and the Chinese team composed of Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu swept the Japanese team with a total score of 3-0, successfully defending the title and realizing the feat of five consecutive Olympic crowns in the women's team event of table tennis. This victory not only added a brilliant chapter to the history of the Chinese table tennis team, but also won the 37th gold medal for the Chinese army at this year's Olympic Games.

[First doubles match: Chen Meng/Wang Manyu won a close reversal]

In the first match, Chen Meng and Wang Manyu partnered to face the Japanese combination of Hina Hayata and Miwa Harimoto. In the opening stage, the Japanese pair showed a strong attacking force, once taking the lead with 11-9, 11-6. However, Chen Meng and Wang Manyu did not get discouraged and they equalized two sets in the third and fourth sets with 11-6, 11-6 respectively, dragging the match into the deciding set. In the deciding set, the scores of both sides were stalemated, and finally the Chinese duo reversed to win with a narrow advantage of 12-10, taking the first point for the Chinese team.

[Sun Yingsha sweeps Hirano Miyu in singles]

In the second singles match, Sun Yingsha faced Japan's Mayu Hirano. Sun Yingsha was behind in the first set, but with her excellent adjustment ability and tough fighting spirit, she came back to win 13-11. In the following two sets, Sun Yingsha won easily with the scores of 11-6, 11-6, and swept the opponent with the total score of 3-0, adding another point for the Chinese team.

[Wang Man Yu defeats Miwa Harimoto in singles]

In the third singles match, Wang Manyu faced Miwa Zhangmoto. In the first set, Wang Man Yu's opening lead was reversed by her opponent 14-12. However, Wang Man Yu was not affected by the loss of the first set, she quickly adjusted her state, to 12-10, 11-7, 11-6 in three consecutive sets, the total score of 3-1 reversal victory over Miwa Zhangmoto, for the Chinese team to lock the victory.

Since the establishment of the women's table tennis team program at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the team has won gold medals in five consecutive Olympics, creating yet another brilliant record in China's sports history. The new generation of women's table tennis players, including Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu, have not only reached the world's top level technically, but have also shown maturity and stability in terms of psychological quality and match experience, laying a solid foundation for the continued glory of Chinese table tennis.
