The victory not only capped off a successful Olympics for Korean table tennis, but also proved once again the international competitiveness of the Korean women's table tennis team, which managed to win the bronze medal.
In the bronze medal match, the Korean women showed team toughness and individual strength. In the first match, the doubles team of Tian Zhixi and Shin Yubin fought a fierce five-set battle with Germany's Shan Xiaona/Man Yuan, and finally won the opening match for Korea with a close 3-2 victory. In the second match, Lee Eun-hye showed the absolute strength of the Korean women's team by defeating Germany's Kaufmann cleanly with a score of 3-0. In the third match, Tien Chihi was back in action, also defeating Shan Xiaona in straight sets with a score of 3-0, sealing the win for Korea and securing the bronze medal.
