Premier League side Manchester United's senior reforms continue, with 11-year director of soccer Meto announcing his departure on Tuesday (9), with the British media pointing out that Meto's departure has left Tannhäuser with the last of his supporters at United, and that his position as the 'Red Devils' marquee is even more precarious.

Metto joined United in 2013 and has risen through the ranks from Director of Football Development to Director of Football over the past 11 years, but as long as he has been with the club, United have been unlucky. Rumors have circulated since Ratcliffe's arrival that Metto would be "stewed in mushrooms" by Ratcliffe's arrival, but United announced on Tuesday that Metto is officially leaving and is expected to move on to another position. Zurgrasha, one of United's chairmen, said: "After 11 years of working together, we felt it was time to implement a new management structure and Meto will always be a friend of United."

Meto and former CEO Richard Arnott, who personally flew to Amsterdam two years ago to interview Tannhäuser and ultimately decided to hire the coach, have also publicly backed Tannhäuser on several occasions over the past two years, and according to The Sun, living in the Richard Arnott and Meto leave, Tannhäuser loses the most important context of the team, and his chances of making the team next season drop once again.
