Four three fixtures have been played in this year's Premier League. The new Manchester United home and away kit styles for next season have been circulating online and are very similar to the design from 20 years ago. Ratcliffe, the Red Devils' new shareholder, has reportedly ordered the retro design in the hope that the team can repeat the revival of that year.
Pictures online show a rippled shirt suspected to be the new home of Manchester United, with thick black stripes down the front of the shoulders. Most coincidentally, the logo of new sponsor Snapdragon is very similar to the Vodafonelogo from 2003.
After the photos of Manchester United's new kit were released, many Red Devils fans praised it, with one saying, "It gives me a retro feeling, I like it so much, it has the atmosphere of the Vodafone era".
As for the new away jersey, it is mainly gray and blue with red letters and stripes, similar to the 2005/06 season, when Crom and Ronnie were on the rise to create a new dynasty for the team.
Rumor has it that the design of United's new home and away kits were both decided by new shareholder Ratcliffe, in the hope that the team would be able to come out of the doldrums they were in from 2003 to 2006 and revive.
