Successfully signed former NBA player Will Barton, an experienced point guard/small forward who will bring new energy and offensive firepower to the team.
Will Barton, 33 years old and standing at 6'96", was a second round pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, playing for the Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors. During the 2024 season, Barton left the NBA for the Spanish league before joining the Puerto Rican league two months later.
In the Puerto Rican league, Barton showed great individual ability. He averaged 31.4 minutes per game in 18 games, contributing 17.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists, while hitting 2.9 three-pointers per game and 39 percent from three. Those performances set him apart from the rest of the league, ranking 14th in the league in both points and assists per game, while finishing fourth in the league in three-point field goal percentage. It's worth noting that Barton was teammates with North Central men's basketball outside linebacker Salinger in that league.
