In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Celtic Football Club's manager Rodgers commented on the future destination of his team's central midfielder, O'Reilly. Rodgers spoke highly of O'Reilly's performances during pre-season, saying that his outstanding performances and behavior showed a great deal of respect and commitment to what the team is trying to achieve.

"O'Reilly's performance and behavior throughout the preseason process has been outstanding," said Rogers, "He has not only shown great skill and athleticism on the field, but has set an example for the team with his positive attitude and professionalism off the field. It speaks volumes that he has a tremendous amount of buy-in and respect for what we are trying to accomplish."

However, Rodgers also showed an open and pragmatic attitude when it comes to O'Reilly's future. He admits that if another club is able to meet Celtic's transfer demands, then the possibility of O'Reilly leaving the team exists. "Of course, the world of soccer is full of variables," Rodgers continued, "If there is a club willing to pay a transfer fee that we are happy with, and O'Reilly himself is willing to join, then this situation is possible."

According to British media reports, Serie A powerhouse Atalanta have submitted a fourth offer to Celtic for as much as £20 million, which has still been rejected by Celtic. This suggests that Celtic's valuation of O'Reilly is much more than that, and they are hoping to get a higher return in their transfer negotiations.

It has also been revealed that Premier League side Brighton are in talks with Celtic over a move for O'Reilly. Although Brighton have yet to make a formal offer, their interest certainly adds more uncertainty to O'Reilly's future.
