Vietnam swallowed three of Indonesia's eggs at home outside the World Cup and have little chance of advancing. The Vietnam FA reportedly decided to terminate Dusya's contract early and send him away artificially within three months.
Vietnam was grouped with Iraq, Indonesia and the Philippines in Group F of the second Asian round of the World Cup. Iraq won their four matches to advance. Indonesia are second with seven points after Vietnam went up, Vietnam are third with one win, three losses and three points, and the Philippines are fourth with one point. Vietnam and Indonesia will also play the Philippines and Iraq in the final two rounds.
In the current situation, Vietnam is more than four points behind Indonesia and has little chance to advance in the future. Therefore, the president of Vietnam Football acted decisively and terminated the contract with Dusya within two years. The two sides reached an agreement to compensate three months of labor, or VND4 billion (about HK$1.33 million).
The 69-year-old French coach Dusya has traveled the world in his career. Asia teaches Japan and Qatar, which used to help Japan support Asia, but that happened 24 years ago.
