Chelsea have announced that midfielder Romeo Olavia will miss the rest of the season due to a slow recovery from injury. After joining Chelsea from Southampton for a transfer fee of £53 million (about HK$520 million) last summer, the 20-year-old Belgian international footballer has only played one game 'on reimbursement', literally pouring money overboard.

After a couple of grueling efforts, Chelsea beat Liverpool and managed to sign Romeo Olavia. However, due to muscle problems and an ankle injury, he rocked up for four months until the end of December last year, when he hosted Crystal Palace in the Premier League. His first time back was Chelsea's armor. Romeo Olavia played only 32 minutes in the battle and was injured again. According to Chelsea's official news, Romeo Olavia continued to suffer from a thigh injury and closed the game early.

In recent years, Chelsea have regularly signed expensive waterboys. Apart from Romeo Olavia, the wing forward Nicholas Nicholson, who joined the club last summer, was also like that. "Che" has since played only seven times in the Premier League due to injury jitters. As for the 70 million (about HK$690 million) worth of center Wesley Cofinna, Premier League last season due to injury only 15 times, before the start of this season underwent a surgery, so far no armor.
