As one of the traditional soccer powers, has England ever won the European Cup? Let's take a look.
Since the inception of Euro 1960, among those traditional soccer powerhouses, only England has been unattached to the championship and has not won a European Cup. In Euro 2020, England was in the same group with Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland, and they came out hand in hand, showing great strength. In the knockout stage, England was even more powerful, first beating Germany with 2-0, and then beating Ukraine with 4-0, showing strong attacking power. In the semi-final, England and Denmark fought to extra time and finally eliminated their opponents to enter the final with Italy. In the final, England and Italy fought to a 1-1 draw in regulation time, but lost 2-3 on penalties, and finished as runners-up with a total score of 3-4. Nonetheless, this was England's best result in the Europa League.
