In the round of 16, Miami International hosted the Columbus Crew in a marquee matchup. In this match, Miami International's star player Lionel Messi was absent, and the team looked a little lacking in both offense and defense.

However, the Columbus Crew were not discouraged and showed resilience. In the 63rd minute, Ramirez helped close the gap with a header, rekindling hopes for a comeback.
The final stages of the game became showtime for the Columbus Crew as Rossi scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute. The Columbus Crew continued to apply pressure the rest of the way, and Rossi scored twice in the 85th minute to help seal the comeback.
Although Miami International had a chance for a last-minute equalizer, they were unable to capitalize on it and ended up with a sorry 2-3 loss. Columbus Crew managed to advance to the next round of the tournament thanks to their resilience and outstanding performance.
