However, Monza did not give up easily and Maldini Jr. helped his team to equalize the score and both sides went into the second half with a score of 1-1.
In the second half of the game, AC Milan was back in the game. Jovic capitalized on an extra shot to give Milan the lead again. Then Reinders extended the lead to 3-1 with a brilliant world kick.
In the end, AC Milan managed to win the Berlusconi Cup by beating Monza 3-1.
