Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has spoken highly of Liverpool's young striker Darwin Nunez in a recent interview. Aguero believes that although Nunez is still in his formative years, he has shown the potential to be a top striker and just needs more time and experience to cement his place.

Aguero is looking forward to Nunez's performance in the new season, saying, "I think Nunez will be great in the new season. He is a threat and is always in the right place waiting for the right moment to score. This keen sense of goal and excellent running ability are important qualities to be a good striker."

Meanwhile, Aguero also pointed out the challenges Nunez may face on his path to growth: "He will improve every season, but the key is to keep his mentality stable. Soccer is a sport full of variables, and it is inevitable that players will experience low periods in their careers. As long as Nunez can try not to be affected by the anxiety that comes with these downturns and stick to his beliefs and hard work, he will become a top striker sooner or later."

Regarding Nunez's current situation, Aguero believes he still needs time to become more stable: "It always takes time for young players to grow. Nunez has shown his talent and potential, but he still needs to gain more experience in the game and learn how to stay calm and focused under pressure. I believe that with time he will become more and more stable and become the top striker that Liverpool and the fans are looking for."

Nunez, 25, made 54 appearances for Liverpool last season, scoring 18 goals and dishing out 13 assists. Those numbers are already impressive, but Aguero's comments certainly set the bar higher for Nunez. There is still a long road ahead for the young striker, but he has already taken a solid step forward.
